Stocking up on household essentials can feel like a constant task. One of the most common items on any shopping list is the humble loo roll, and the chore of remembering to buy it before you run out is a familiar one. Buying bulk toilet rolls online is a practical solution that saves time and often money, but with so many options available, how do you choose the right one for your family?
This guide is designed to help you navigate the choices. We will look at the key factors to consider when you buy toilet rolls online, from ply count to eco-credentials, and provide some of our top recommendations to help you find a product that offers the right balance of comfort, value and quantity for your household.
Making a smart purchase goes beyond just looking at the price tag. Here are a few practical tips to consider when selecting your next toilet roll multi-pack.
The term 'ply' refers to the number of layers of paper that make up each sheet. This is a primary indicator of both strength and softness.
You will also see terms like quilted toilet paper. This refers to an embossed texture on the sheets, which creates small air pockets. This process enhances both the softness and absorbency of the paper, providing a more cushioned feel.
A large pack might seem like the best deal, but it is worth doing a quick calculation. To understand the real value, consider the price per roll. For an even more accurate comparison, you could look at the number of sheets per roll, as this can vary between brands. A larger pack with fewer sheets per roll might not be as economical as it first appears. Buying in bulk is almost always more cost-effective in the long run, reducing the frequency of your purchases.
For many households, sustainability is an important factor. When looking for eco friendly toilet rolls, check the packaging and product details for a few key indicators. Look for rolls made from responsibly sourced materials, such as those with FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification. Some brands also use recycled materials in their packaging and employ more sustainable manufacturing processes, such as using renewable energy.
