Choose a green-tea capsule only after confirming your machine’s capsule system: Torrié Coffee UK specifies OriginalLine for its Nespresso-compatible tea pods and offers a separate Dolce Gusto-compatible product. If you have a Vertuo machine, no matching pod machine, or want a decaffeinated green tea, do not assume either capsule fits; tea bags or loose tea may suit your elevenses better.
If you want green tea from an existing OriginalLine machine at elevenses, look for capsules that explicitly name that system. Torrié Coffee UK recommends 200 ml of water for its Nespresso-compatible green-tea pods; that guidance does not establish Vertuo compatibility.
If your household uses a Dolce Gusto-compatible machine, check for a capsule made for that format. Torrié Coffee UK describes its Dolce Gusto green-tea capsules as compatible only with Dolce Gusto coffee machines.
If you have no matching pod machine, prefer loose tea or want a decaffeinated option, consider conventional green tea instead. Twinings UK lists decaffeinated green tea, while teapigs UK offers tea bags and loose-leaf options.
Start with the machine format. Then check whether the drink and preparation suit the elevenses you have in mind.
| Priority | What to check | Your needs |
|---|---|---|
| Machine fit | Confirm the exact capsule system on both machine and pack. Torrié Coffee UK specifies OriginalLine for its Nespresso tea-pod range and Dolce Gusto for its separate Dolce Gusto product; Nespresso UK identifies Vertuo as a distinct capsule system. | I want a capsule that fits the machine already in my kitchen, rather than relying on a familiar brand name. |
| Cup size | Check the product’s water guidance and your machine’s settings. Torrié Coffee UK recommends 200 ml for its Nespresso-compatible green-tea pods; other matcha pods may have different preparation instructions. | I would like a mug of green tea at elevenses, not a short matcha shot intended for another drink. |
| Caffeine | Read the current pack information rather than assuming green tea is caffeine-free. Torrié Coffee UK describes its Nespresso-compatible green-tea pods as containing moderate caffeine; Twinings UK lists a decaffeinated green-tea alternative. | A decaffeinated choice matters more to me than making tea in a coffee machine. |
| Tea format | Check whether you want a machine capsule, a tea bag or loose tea, and what preparation each requires. Twinings UK lists green-tea bags, while teapigs UK offers tea-bag and loose-leaf options. | I may prefer brewing tea without checking capsule compatibility, or want a choice of tea styles for the household. |
Torrié Coffee UK specifies OriginalLine for its Nespresso-compatible tea pods, while Nespresso UK identifies Vertuo as a separate capsule system. The Nespresso name alone is not a compatibility check.
Find your machine model and confirm its capsule system before choosing a flavour.
Torrié Coffee UK describes its Nespresso-compatible green-tea pods as containing moderate caffeine. A green-tea label does not mean the drink is decaffeinated.
Check the current pack if caffeine content matters to you, or look for an explicitly decaffeinated tea.
Capsules depend on a matching machine format. Twinings UK and teapigs UK also list conventional green-tea options, including tea bags and loose tea.
If you lack a matching machine or prefer to brew tea separately, choose the format you will use rather than a machine-specific capsule.
Torrié Coffee UK lists separate green-tea capsules for Nespresso OriginalLine and Dolce Gusto-compatible machines.
Twinings UK provides conventional green-tea options for shoppers who do not want a coffee-machine capsule.
teapigs UK is a conventional-tea alternative when capsule convenience is less important than brewing tea separately.
These are flavoured matcha pods for an elevenses drink. Check each product’s machine fit and preparation instructions if you are looking for a mug of brewed green tea.

For a strawberry matcha drink at elevenses, the supplied directions describe pouring a matcha shot over hot or iced milk and flushing the machine before and after use. Confirm capsule fit with your exact machine; check the pack’s caffeine and ingredient information if either affects your choice.
No. Torrié Coffee UK specifies OriginalLine machines for its Nespresso-compatible tea pods, while Nespresso UK identifies Vertuo as a separate capsule system. Confirm your machine model and the pod’s stated format before buying.

Not necessarily. Torrié Coffee UK describes its Nespresso-compatible green-tea pods as containing moderate caffeine. Check the current product information if caffeine content matters to you.
Look for a product explicitly labelled decaffeinated rather than assuming a green-tea capsule is. Twinings UK lists Pure Green Decaffeinated among its conventional green-tea options; check the format and preparation instructions for the product you select.
