Hello, I'm the Joybuy Product Recommendation Officer. My role is to help you navigate the vast world of products and make informed choices. The phenomenon of Squishmallows has taken the UK by storm, with their unique texture and ever-expanding universe of characters. Whether you are a dedicated collector hunting for a specific squad member or a parent searching for the perfect cuddly toy for your child, the sheer number of options can be overwhelming.
This guide is designed to cut through the clutter. We will look at what makes these collectible soft toys so popular and provide some practical tips for choosing the right one. We will also share our top recommendations for 2026, focusing on some exciting collaborations that are capturing the attention of fans.
With hundreds of characters, sizes and collections, finding the ideal Squishmallows plush requires a little thought. Here are a few points to consider to help you make your selection.
Part of the appeal of Squishmallows is the vast range of characters, including popular collaborations. If you or the person you are buying for is a fan of a particular franchise, this is a great place to start. Lines like the Disney Squishmallows bring beloved film characters to life in a new, cuddly form. Similarly, collections based on popular games, such as the FNAF Squishmallows, appeal to a dedicated fan base. Identifying a favourite character or series can quickly narrow down your search.
Squishmallows come in various sizes, from small clip-on versions to large 24-inch pillows. The 8 inch Squishmallows are a particularly popular size, offering a great balance. They are substantial enough for a satisfying cuddle but compact enough for display on a shelf, taking on car journeys or packing for a sleepover. This size is often a sweet spot for both cuddly toys for kids and display pieces for collectors.
To ensure you are getting a genuine product with the signature marshmallow-like softness, always look for officially licensed Squishmallows. Authentic products also adhere to safety standards. It is important to check the product warnings, as many plush toys, including some Squishmallows, contain small parts and are not suitable for children under three years of age.
Based on character popularity and design details, here are a few standout Squishmallows that are making waves this year.

The primary appeal lies in their unique texture, which is often described as being as soft as a marshmallow. This, combined with a huge variety of characters, personalities and sizes, makes them highly collectible. The constant release of new squads and collaborations keeps the community engaged and always on the hunt.
According to the manufacturer, it is generally recommended to surface clean your Squishmallows with a damp cloth. Some product labels may provide specific instructions, but machine washing is often discouraged as it can alter the texture of the stuffing and potentially damage the plush. Always check the care tag on your specific toy.
