Just in time for the evening skin care routine I present to you the Garnier Skinactive 4% AHA + BHA & Niacinamide Charcoal Serum that I received as a member of My Garnier Community in exchange for my honest opinion. This is one serum that definitely needed to be tested for at least 3 weeks before the actual feedback was provided. I find the ingredients perfect for acne prone skin , like mine, in some periods of the month. The colour of the actual serum is something that makes you pay attention more, looking like a matte black , but surprisingly, while applied to the skin it simply transforms into a clear , jellish-like texture that goes smoothly on the face covering really well. Must point that the scent of the serum, quite strong because of the active ingredients, is noticeable while it is applied , but disappears completely while the serum is absorbed by the skin. It allows a short period of time to be applied , before fully being absorbed by the skin , leaving the skin really soft , non sticky with an even and mattified surface. After 3 weeks of using the serum , I can honestly say that the skin appearance improved especially on the areas around my forehead where I mostly get acne. I really liked the mattifying effect that the serum has after application makes it perfect to be used as part of a skincare routine before makeup application . I received the Garnier 4% AHA + BHA Niacinamide Charcoal Face Serum for free as a part of the Garnier community. I'm very happy that I was chosen to test this particular serum, as I have combination skin with an oily T-zone, large pores and frequent blemishes. I really liked the ingredients of this serum. It contains several types of acids, including salicylic, lactic, citric, and phytic acid, and my favorite niacinamide, which effectively fights inflammation and is responsible for skin renewal. Charcoal is also added, which turns the serum black and perfectly cleanses pores. The serum is suitable for sensitive skin and is a vegan formula, which made me very happy! The serum was very easy and pleasant to use, a convenient glass bottle with a pipette. The smell is quite strong, but I liked it. The consistency is gel, liquid, easily distributed over the skin, has a dark color, but doesn't stain the skin dark. After absorption, the skin becomes smooth and velvety to the touch. I used the serum morning and evening and noticed visible results after two weeks of regular use. The acids in the composition gently renew the skin without drying the skin. My skin is smoother, softer, pores are noticeably cleaner, controls blemishes , and I also notice an improvement in skin color. I didn't feel any discomfort when using this serum. My skin began to look much better and healthier, which of course I really like!
