"Mihyang" (literally "delicate flavour") is a staple Korean cooking seasoning designed to enhance the natural flavours of your dishes while effectively neutralizing unwanted odours from meat and seafood. It is a mild, sweet seasoning made from refined sugars extracted from grains and fermented vinegar, not a traditional alcoholic beverage (typically containing less than 1% alcohol). Use it as an alternative to Japanese Mirin to tenderize meats, add a subtle sweetness and shine to glazes and stir-fries, or to balance broths and marinades.
