This is a pretty good quality toy, and my 8-year-old loves it! The remote-controlled car can change direction freely on the spot, moving forward or backward, and can even do a somersault before continuing. It automatically flips 180 degrees when it hits an obstacle, making it easy for kids to operate. It also comes with rechargeable batteries, which is great. Most of the time, children can operate it, except for the slightly tricky connection between the rechargeable battery and charging cable, and the connection between the battery and the battery compartment, which requires adult assistance. I haven't tested its waterproof capabilities yet; I haven't tried playing with it in a pond.
