Reviews
It has a delicious balance of sweetness and nuttiness.
People's tastes really do change. I hated eating glutinous rice balls when I was little, but I've been craving peanut-filled ones for the past two days, and so I finally made some for a weekend evening. So satisfying! Who would have thought I'd crave glutinous rice balls so much as a child? 🤣 Peanut glutinous rice balls are awesome! It seems like people from Fujian mainly eat peanut-filled glutinous rice balls here, hahaha. (The ingredient list is pretty clean, except for a little thickener. The outer skin is very soft and chewy, and the filling has a strong peanut flavor with a slightly grainy texture, not pure sand. It's a tiny bit too sweet, but not too bad.) My morning microwave method for cooking glutinous rice balls: Add hot water to cover the rice balls (add some orange or tangerine peel if you like) for 3 minutes, drain the water, add milk, and microwave for another 2 minutes. Milk and orange-flavored glutinous rice balls are ready! They're delicious! Happy Lantern Festival!
