Usage Instruction:
Insertion: Locate the microSD card slot on your gaming device (e.g., Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, tablet, or portable gaming console). Gently insert the Lexar PLAY PRO microSD card into the slot until it clicks into place.
Compatibility Note: For optimal performance (up to 900MB/s read and 600MB/s write), the host device must support the microSD Express interface. When used in UHS-I or UHS-II compatible devices, the card will operate at standard UHS-I speeds.
Formatting: Before first use, format the microSD card using your device's built-in formatting tool. For gaming consoles, follow the device-specific instructions for formatting a new microSD card. Ensure you back up any existing data, as formatting will erase all content.
Game Installation: To install games directly to the microSD card, select the card as the installation destination within your device's storage settings. This allows you to expand your gaming library without consuming internal storage.
Data Transfer: For high-speed file transfers, use a microSD Express compatible card reader (sold separately) connected to a computer via USB. This enables maximum transfer speeds for large game files and media.
Removal: Always power off your device or safely eject the card via the device's software menu before physically removing it to prevent data corruption. Press the card inward to release it from the slot.
Safety Warning
Do not expose the microSD card to fire, extreme temperatures beyond the rated range, or direct sunlight for prolonged periods to prevent damage or data loss.
Keep the card away from liquids and corrosive substances. While the card is IPX7 waterproof (protected against immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes), prolonged exposure or contact with chemicals may damage the product.
Do not attempt to disassemble, bend, or crush the card, as this may damage internal components or cause physical injury.
Handle the card with care to avoid electrostatic discharge, which can damage electronic components.
Always use the "Safely Remove Hardware" function on computers before unplugging the card reader to prevent data corruption.
Materials & Craftsmanship
The card is built using premium 3D TLC NAND and a custom-designed Lexar PCIe Express controller. Full Ingredient List: Silicon (NAND flash), gold (30μ" high-density plated contacts for PCIe lanes), and a specialized thermally conductive polycarbonate housing to dissipate heat during sustained 900MB/s data bursts.
