Coming from 2 x 27" 1440p 144hz monitors with TN panels, I was rather disappointed with 34GN850. 34GN850 was still a beautiful monitor by itself, but the screen coverage was little too small for me. Once I discovered that there is 38" version of the GN series, I had to try it. I can let you know that I am very happy I did, because a few extra inches taller and wider screen (Screen resolution of 34GN850's 3440x1440 vs. 38GN950's 3840x1600) really does make a huge difference. Also, the US website doesn't seem to list these under specs but UK's LG website did so here's supported display frequency of HDMI and Display Port: (Please note that with DP version 1.4 this monitor cannot get you the 10bit RGB444 on its native resolution at 144Hz.
