At first glance, it makes a high-quality impression, especially when compared to cheaper umbrellas from drugstores, etc. It has no chemical odor, a pleasant weight, and the materials appear to be of relatively high quality. It's also slightly wider than standard umbrellas, which I personally appreciate, as it still packs down neatly and relatively compactly into the included cover.
